1. I wanted to vote "Totem Poles" but the poll creator stupidly didn't include it. |
|
Seems the most obvious choice given the conditions of the question.
Some people just don't think goodly or communicate in wondering solidly quiet of leaves like when I needed beer money and no one had fixed that banner, like me.

9. My dad was thrilled and amazed when the word "ass" was spoken in "Poseidon Adventure"... |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-30-11 10:04 PM by Amerigo Vespucci
...it might have even been spoken by Borgnine. Dunno...haven't seen it in decades.
But one character...might have been Hackman...says something like "Where the hell have YOU been," and the other...maybe Borgnine...says "Where the hell do you THINK I've been? I've been sliding around on my ASS!"
My dad went "OOH!" and laughed out loud.
My girlfriend and I, at the time, took my parents to a theater to see it. In those days you never heard "ASS" on your TV. My dad, needless to say, was easily amused.

11. That's a great story. |
|
It was a different time for most of our parents. My grandmother went from a horse and buggy to seeing probes on other planets in her lifetime. The times aren't just a'changin', they're doing it post haste!
I have to laugh even more when I think of my dad taking me with him to see Serpico at age 7. I learned a bunch of swear words that night, and the term "cover your ears!". :)
