Poll question: Worst possible actor to play Bruce Wayne/Batman
I know, only ten options - so I left an "other" open.

4. Trump would be GREAT...he'd TALK the super-villains to death.
There'd be lines outside of Arkham Asylum and Gotham City Prison a mile long, with all of those daffy bastards turning themselves in, just to make...that...voice...STOP.

in the 1960s.

Now he could play Tubby the Tuba.

15. No Steve Buscemi?
The cowl would be no disguise whatever.

Funny story I heard about the Michael Keaton/Jack Nicholson first Batman movie: They're setting up for a shot, and Keaton has Nicholson by the lapels. They're waiting for everything to get into place, both in full costume, and Nicholson mutters to Keaton, "We're grown men."

I have no idea if that's true, but I'd like it to be.

21. In Clooney's defense, the director/screenwriters were fucking idiots
I actually don't think George ever got a fair shot at the role.

In fact, I'll go out on a limb here and say that I think he now has the acting chops / maturity to play the big guy in a film adaptation of the Dark Knight Returns. That's right. Flame me, if you must.

25. I've seen Clooney in other things ("Burn After Reading" for example).
He can't talk without bobbing his head around - Soap Opera Syndrome. He just isn't convincing as an actor.

32. The head bob reappears when he's being silly.
I don't recall any bobbing in "Solaris" or "Up in the Air". He was very good in both of those movies.

But yeah, he started out a bit rough. I still think he'd make a good Bats, given a suit without nipples.

34. The only thing that gave that movie ANY redeeming qualities was Aaahnold.
Aaahnold's performance in the Terminator movies was - well - "meh".

I really liked his acting in "Sixth Day". He was pretty much the only aspect of the 4th Batman movie worth anything. The rest was pretty stupid.

29. I agree with you on that
He has an on-screen intensity that works well in the right role - not the godawful Batman movie he was in.

Chris O'Donnell is the only actor in Hollywood who makes Paul Walker look like Jimmy Stewart.
