Freakin' or Friggin'?

Just heard someone use Freakin' in a sentence in place of another curse - ie. fuc*ing or G*ddam. It got me thinking - I do this too, especially in polite company - do you?

alas.... I already said shit in front of him too many times and now he says it too. The only source of pride on that is that he does use the word correctly. He drops something - "Oh shit!". He bumps in to something - "Oh shit!".

It's actually kinda funny.

"Frigging" has a much longer pedigree. It's at least 400 years old.

Frig - "to Masturbate; Copulate." This word can denote either male or female masturbation or copulation, under the idea of "rubbing." It is cognate to "friction" and "fricatrix" and derives from the Latin "fricare" = "to rub."
