If you were suddenly sucked through a portal into the Star Trek universe, then transformed into any race you wanted (repleat with all appropriate knowledge etc.) however you would keep just enough of you to appreciate it... which race/empire would you be a part of?

Because I like the Vulcans and Romulans. I'd like to be a Romulan in a sane government, or a Vulcan with emotions. So ya, it'd be easier to be an emotional Vulcan than a well governed Romulan.
