Gawd I do love Bombay Sapphire Gin! |
|
Woo hoo hoo! I am just a bit liquored up- better check my spelling.
The perfect martini= 2 ounces of chilled Bombay Sapphire with 0 ounces of Vermouth and no damned olives or twists or any damned thing. Hey= wait a minute- that's straight gin he's talking about. Bloody right it is.

Not much trouble these days other than waking up with a big damned headache.

I just finished a regular bombay martini, with a very touch of vermouth and no garnish.
Yummy!
Have you tried Magellan gin? I just discovered it a month ago, never saw it before, and it's DELICIOUS! Unlike Plymouth, which tends toward too much fruitiness, Magellan has the right amount of botanicals and fruitiness without being sweet at all, and it's also BLUE in color, the same color as the Sapphire bottle.
But, color is irrelevant - the gin is fanstastic!

Laid back, with my mind on my money and my money on my mind.
Safire and grapefruit juice is rather tasty.

may get a third. Thatl'll be it for tonight -- my daughter is here.
One Edit: I grew up in an area without mixed drinks in bars or restaurants. I moved to Connecticut in my early 20s and waited on tables for awhile. When I served a Beefeater martini, I was floored by the aroma -- it seemed like the most wonderful smell I had even experienced. I tasted some -- yuck! But the taste is acquired pretty quickly. Bombay became my fave.
