Ted Rail had a cartoon showing the pair as ventriloguist and dummy, and Maureen Dowd called the planned testimony the "Charlie McCarthy Hearings."
Eleanor Clift, on the other hand, called them the Wizard of Oz hearings and said they showed who was actually behind the curtain--since they didn't trust the unelected drunk to speak without his handler.
Nancy Pelosi also had some good sharp things to say....she called it baffling and embarassing that a sitting president of the U.S. has to hold his vice president's hand.
