What should I do, I'm so depressed |
|
It's been a little over a week that my girlfriend broke up with me. I'm just so depressed, and now it's getting serious. I have seriously considered suicide, but I haven't done it and I saw a doctor over it. How should I cope? How and if and when should I try to see her again?

I've been feeling kind of surreal right now. I know I shouldn't kill myself and that's the thing that stops me.

2. Keep going to the Doctor |
|
if he/she gave you medication, give it at least 3 weeks. If you can hang on 3 weeks you will feel better.

5. Sorry, this is a little long: |

Huh, it's so weird that I found this post right after reading a manga (Japanese comic book) that involves a girl almost attempting to kill herself after she's dumped. Anyway, she doesn't do it, and neither should you. It's a hard thing for me to say, and even more difficult for me to get into, because I've been clinically depressed for a few years now, but suicide isn't worth it--life can get better. My advice is to keep talking to the doctor, and to find something in life worth hanging on to (even if it's something trivial, like reading the morning newspaper or watching your favorite TV show). Start out with one little thing like that, and keep adding to it: a certain friend, your favorite dessert, whatever. And oxymoron is right, call that number if you have to!!!
I hope I helped a little bit. =/
