This is what happens after you die... |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-08-11 07:27 PM by rbnyc
...according to my 6-year-old son:
"When a person dies, only their body dies. The soul lives forever and goes to the dead world. You can decide to stay in the dead world, or you can find the portal in the center of the dead world and get put into a new body on earth as a baby."
I think the most amazing thing about his theory is that he used the word portal! I remember telling him what portal meant months and months ago. I can't even remember how it came up. I may have used the word this morning on the way to camp when he asked me, "What's a worm hole?"
As for what happens to you after you die, I told him that no one knows for sure but that his idea was really cool.
EDIT: typo

2. I forgot about the Santa Claus powers! |
|
When the soul is in the dead world, it gets Santa Claus powers so it can see everyone at the same time.

4. Yes, well... that's a given. |
|
That's something I actually believe to this day. More on that later.
I really like the way this boy thinks.
How much does he get from mom?

3. Wow. This is really something. |
|
Esp. for 6 year old.
I think he might have a point.
Of course, he has his whole life to fine-tune his theory.
This is cool.

BTW, I'm almost 60; is it time for me to stop saying "way cool" ?....although, that really WAS way cool. You've got a seriously bright and deep thinking little guy there.

11. Your son is a Buddhist? |
|
Maybe he's the most recent incarnation of the Grand Poobah or whatever it's called.
Seriously - he sounds like a bright kid. When *I* was six, I was more concerned about trying to figure the difference between bluish-purple and purplish-blue. (I never did figure that out, as I'm somewhat color blind)

12. He's concerned about reddish-orange and orangish-red. |

:)
My son says he is an agnostic because that way he can celebrate all the religious holidays.

14. Don't you wonder where the hell these things come from? |
|
Did he hear about reincarnation somewhere? Or did he come up with this on his own?
Kids are so cool. Well, at least until they are teenagers.
