1. The Kind of Blue cut is a great example of what made Miles a genius at putting a band together.
Each soloist is completely different in their approach on that tune, but it is a total complimentary difference.

Miles knew what combination of players would equal more than their individual contributions.

3. If you ever get the chance, read the book called "KInd Of Blue"
"The making of the Miles Davis Masterpiece" an inside look at the making of that classic recording.

It's a great read, with all kinds of stuff you never knew about one of the most revered sessions in music history.
