Poll question: What was the worst part about Indiana Jones 4?
SyFy channel is doing an Indiana Jones marathon, including the awful fourth one. What was the shittiest part of this shitty movie?

2. The entire film sucked as bad as Howard the Duck, but...
Edited on Sat Jul-09-11 10:06 PM by Orrex
in terms of atrocities in the overall narrative, Spielberg/Lucas' greatest crime was the casual exploitation of The Ark for a momentary sight gag. It's as though Stephen and George decided to take a collective shit on arguably the best action film of all time.

Just as bad, they revealed that The Warehouse--formerly the iconic bureaucratic dumping ground--is none other than Area 51, the most obvious and trite "secret place" in the history of pop culture. Absolutely nothing was gained by this revelation, and a great deal was lost.

What a terrible, terrible film.

3. Well, pretty much everything
But the last 20 minutes were particularly horrible.

I have to say, the nuclear blast refrigerator bit didn't bother me as much as most people. It was staggeringly ridiculous, but not much more than most of the stuff in Temple of Doom.

4. Yep
i couldn't even finish the movie. i'll have to check and see if the guys from Rifftrax (MST3K) have tackled this horrible movie yet - it was the only way i was able to make it through Transformers 2.

Ha just checked and they do riff on this one -- http://www.rifftrax.com/rifftrax/indiana-jones-and-kingdom-crystal-skull

7. I clicked on this thread hoping for a Shia LeBeouf option
Thanks for not letting me down. He is the only actor for whom I have a visceral desire to slap on the face.

8. worst part was packing 3 movies worth of ideas into one movie
and then not developing any of the three movies nearly enough.

And, surviving the nuke in the fridge.

9. That would be nuking the fridge for $200, Alex.
Damn, that was dumb. So dumb it gave us a phrase to replace the tired "jump the shark."

10. SOUTH PARK called it for what it was
The episode may have been truly cringeworthy, but it spoke volumes of truth.

12. Where to start?
Cate Blanchett doing her best Natasha imitation (as in Boris and Natasha) Did she really need the paycheck?

The fight in a malt shop, where was Biff and did Harrison Mcfly get away on a skateboard?

Those weird beings, inhabiting the ruins. Looked like Chris Kattan's Mr. Peepers from SNL.

No Nazis!
