1. Serious question - do you get used to the constant hot?

Or do most duck into the AC?
Our daughter migrated to Mississippi this year from the upper Midwest.
We were talking yesterday and she said she thought that she would eventually get used to it.
Some friends in my past from the south say they just never went out from April to October until dark.

My daughter said in people can adapt to the cold they can adapt to the heat.

2. Some can adapt, I guess

but then, people also fuckin' die from the cold AND the heat.

Usually the only reason I brave the heat ( it was only 99.3 this afternoon) is to go out to the garage and get another bag of ice and frozen fruit pops out of the freezer.
