I hate July.
After the 4th, there's nothing going on, and it's so damn humid, even with my A/C on I'm sweating buckets.

2. I just plain hate summer.
People I know were complaining about the cold winter we had here in Georgia. I told them just wait for summer and you will yearn for those freezing temperatures. Tomorrow, our temp is going to be in the high 90s.

3. My People!!!! I always felt like such an odd duck
because I hate summer. Hated it since I was a kid.
The heat, the humidity, the bugs, the mosquitoes, as i got older the allergies, people in foul moods because of the heat, clothes stuck to you - on and on.
If I could I would go to sleep in early May and wake up in September.
Did I mention cutting grass? Thanks to climate change I get about 2 more months of that joyful activity.

For all the same reasons everyone has mentioned. Plus I just hate to sweat.

5. Haha! Cry me a river!
I'm heading for South Texas for the entire month of August. It's already above 104 and wicked humid there.

I could not have found a more perfect time to go there...

Sigh.

9. I love it. I love the flowers and the trees, and sailing on the lake
and dangling my feet in the cool water, and just sitting on my porch with a glass of cold iced tea, feeling the breeze and listening to the birds and the wind chimes. I love walking around barefoot and eating cherries and strawberries and raspberries and tomatoes right out of my garden. There are butterflies and bumblebees in the milkweed and monarda and meadowsweet. July is *alive* like no other time of year. Even when it's hot and humid it's wonderful.

14. How about Bastille Day? Now there is a holiday to get into!
(July 14 for those who didn't know)

And the anniversary of the Moon Landing on the 20th.

Personally, I have two very important celebrations coming up the end of this week so July is special to me.
