1. I don't like the texture of them but... |

there is this Indian restaurant near here that makes a pancake sort of thing with peas, carrots and caramelized onions in it that they serve with a brownish sauce of sorts.
That's awesome.

2. Our dog wouldn't eat them |

Mom liked to feed left overs to the dog (a black lab) but he hated peas so she got the bright idea of mixing them in with the mashed potatoes (which he loved). When she returned, the potatoes were gone and all that was left was a bunch of polished peas. The dog had spit them back into the bowl!

18. LOL. My dog wouldn't eat peas, either. |

When I was a kid, we had a beloved cocker spaniel. At one point, she wasn't eating her food and my grandmother suggested that, because she was older, "her teeth might be bothering her." So I went out and got some baby food, chicken and vegetables, liver and vegetables, etc. And she really liked it, all except the peas. She left them in a pile at the bottom of her dish. I figured she must take after me because I feel about peas the same way Poppy Bush feels about broccoli... :puke: :hi:

It makes them taste quite funny, but it keeps them on the knife.

Obama said we must "eat our peas". But most Americans don't like unappetizing things like paying taxes. They'd rather find the easy way out and lie about it.

Obama is surrounded by Yankees! LOL! Black eyed peas are, appropriately, synonymous with money. Then there's field peas, crowder peas, and for you Northerners English peas, chickpeas, and for us po' folk the famous goober peas! (peanuts for the uninitiated).
Eat your peas is an invitation to paradise!
