That seems odd to me. Shouldn't blood pressure be higher after I come back from the gym? My heart's all pumping and my blood is, I guess, zooming through my veins and corpuscles, or whatever they're called, at faster rates. So shouldn't my blood pressure be higher? Instead, it always seems to be significantly lower.

What's up with that, body?

1. I wondered that too, my dear Bucky...
I think it's because when you exercise, your circulatory system (arteries and veins) open up as you get warmed up. Also, your heart is beating more efficiently.

These two make your blood pressure lower. I think it's especially because the circ. system opens up. The pipes are bigger and so the pressure is reduced.

Exercise is good for you.

2. It's possible ...
I do weight training and I was taught how to "breathe", deep inhale/exhale rythmn. I found that using that method before doing a set, I was able to lift more. I also found that doing it in between sets brought my heartrate down.

Without realizing it, you may be doing something like that. And that can be a good thing.

3. I think that's normal for one's BP to go down after exercise.
