Good one! :D  And I was just grumbling that they cancelled the show because it didn't have vampires in it.

5. I liked that show.
Not being a middle-aged guy, I don't know if it was authentic or not. But it was different, and I enjoyed it.

7. Neither am I
But since it was written by middle-aged guys, including Ray Romano, I think it was at least pretty close.

I do know the car dealership scenes were right on; my uncle used to own a car dealership, and I spent a lot of time there when I was little. Owen's dad reminded me of my uncle a LOT.

8. Owen's daddy was such an asshole, no offense to your uncle.
I really couldn't stand him.

9. None taken
My uncle was a bit of an asshole himself. ;) What they really had in common was their ego--they really got that part right!

13. He plays the asshole really well though.
Every time I've seen that guy on TV, he's always playing an asshole. And always believable in the role.

Andre Braugher has been nominated for an Emmy, though...

10. Who wants to watch a bunch of men who are around 50?
Seriously. Because if there is such a person who wants to see that - I'm in.

11. What? Didn't the new season start just a few weeks ago?
No wonder I haven't been able to find the show on the schedule! I watched the first week, then I think I was out the second week and missed it. The next two weeks, I haven't been able to find it. I don't understand why they would cancel it just a few weeks into the season. Presumably they made the episodes. Why don't they show them?

12. TNT has short seaons on all of their shows
10 or 12 episodes a year at most, and sometimes they break it up so you only get 5 or 6 weeks in a row. But that last episode was #12 for the season.

I thought it had potential. But if it's done, maybe Scott Bakula should look into bringing Quantum Leap back?

There's a show that was cancelled way too soon.

16. No wonder I could never find it!

I liked the show but I guess I missed a lot of episodes. The last one I had seen was the colonoscopy one, which I think ended the first season. Then I never heard about or saw listing for the show again until about a month ago. I must have missed the first half of the season by not knowing it was on! I thought the station did a shitty job of publicizing the show and this only confirms my opinion. How do they expect to get ratings when nobody can find the show? Of course, broadcasters and advertisers don't exactly give a shit about 'older' folks; they just want the young demographic.

I loved Quantum Leap. That was a great show!

17. Thanks. That's good to know the episodes are online.
I guess I missed the first half of the season because I had no idea the show's season had started. They did a lousy job of publicizing the show. :hi:

15. That's too bad. It's been an OK show.
That said, the recent episodes haven't been as interesting as the entire first season, so I find it difficult to blame TNT. The writers didn't leave much room for character development. The Romano character's golfing sub-plot might have had some legs, but nothing else was going anywhere interesting.
