One of the few advantages of living in Southwest Virginia is we have a plethora of local tobacco growers. this first one is pretty good though.just a hint of a maple taste..very good.
Oh and on a side note...don't get aggravated at first figuring out the rolling. It doesn't take long until you get the hang of it but you will waste a few tubes until you figure it out.
After about 50 cigs rolled I can roll one in about 20 seconds now..first few took 3 minutes plus IF I got it packed at all. :smoke:
Oh and P.S. Having a cig that says zig zag on the side is an added bonus :)

2. I quit smoking when cigs were $1.25 from a vending machine (with the pull bars). |
|
And I didn't quit because of the price, but it was getting up there. I think they were like 85 cents a pack in a store at the time, but vending machines were always more expensive.

for about a year and a half now. I get the tubes for about 1 euro a box and the small can of tobacco (depending on the brand) is about 7 or 8 euro. Sure beats spending almost 200 euro a month on committing a slow suicide but I don't like the taste so I keep justifying buying packs of "real" cigarettes here and there.
took out an extra a.

6. Throw a slice of apple in with the tobacco |
|
Keeps the tobacco moist and rollable, that is, if you actually rolled the cigarettes. I never used those tubes, but I did roll my own years ago, and found going thorough the motions of rolling really cut down on my daily consumption. I never rolled smokes ahead of time just for that reason.

you buy a box of 200 (a carton) of premade cigs with filters minus tobacco and the machine loads the tobacco. It is just as tight and filled as any store bought cig and watching someone smoke one you wouldn't know the difference from a rolled or a marlboro

8. A bunch of us went in on an Electric machine |
|
and shared it. Could roll a carton of perfect storeboughts in half an hour. Sued to get the big package and roll em up. Good stuff and about a buck a pack.

If you like a full-bodied tobacco, try "Drum". It's not imported any more since Sara Lee (the coffee cake company?) bought Douwe Egberts, it's made by some company over in Illinois, but I think they got the recipe pretty close. I kinda miss the flavour.
I don't think it's a chemical smorgasbord like the shit RJ Reynolds puts out, either. I had a pretty easy time of it quitting, and it might be because I wasn't smoking Camels anymore.
