Colorado Sunset
Edited on Sun Jul-17-11 06:55 PM by bluesbassman
Just got back from a soccer tournament in Aurora Colorado that my daughter played in. Got these shots of the spectacular sunsets they have there. Enjoy. :)

1. My dear bluesbassman!
WOW!

Oh, very nice...

I love the colors and the cloud shadows on the other clouds...

Thanks for sharing!

:hi:

I hope your daughter had fun!

2. Thanks Peggy.
The downside to those clouds was lightning and pouring rain every afternoon and evening we were there. Still beautiful though. Glad you liked them. :)

3. I've always wondered- can you see the Aurora in Aurora?

Great shots BTW. I live in a place called Sunset Hills. More on that when a great one fires off.

4. Reminds me of when I stayed in Golden, CO. Not quite the same. Where is that?

12. Kinda reminds me of Harmony, north of Denver, too. Only driven through Denver, though. Great pix!

15. That was my feeling too.
The photos don't quite do the real thing justice. It really was breathtaking with the snow covered Rockies as the foundation. :)

13. Amazing shots...so much going on in each one.
Sometimes I like those "wall of blue" sunsets...a blue, cloudless sky that just starts getting darker, with maybe a perfectly round moon starting to peek through.

But these are pretty damned spectacular. What my eye keeps going to, in the top and bottom shots, is the sort of "V" or funnel-shaped darker area (especially prominent in the top pic).

Looks like there's a lot more happening in Colorado than just my estranged freeper sister.

:toast:

14. Thanks AV. Take a close look at the mountains in the last pic.
Still a ton of snow in the Rockies!
