Factory sunroof, factory air, and a Metric Mechanic five-speed. I really miss that car.

May not look like much, but then you must've never driven one

I got to drive one and the torque on that thing could rip the chrome off of a bumper

67. Weren't the 31XXs all 4 bangers?
Granted, there were a couple of diesels, but nothing I'd consider a stump puller. After driving a number of V8 powered European saloons, it's hard to consider just about any four banger to be torquey. Unless, of course, it's in something extremely light weight like a Lotus or Caterham. Now the Volga GAZ-24, that was a torque monster.

a youtube video of Audioslave playing "Show Me How To Live" and in the video they basically recreate parts of Vanishing Point - the guy in the radio station, the car chase scenes with the cops, etc. Same car - good video.

35. Weird. I just watched "Speed Racer" last night. I thought they seriously fucked it up.
There was too much flashback/overlay stuff going on and the car racing was just too confusing and took any believability out of it. As I said to my wife, it was a case of a movie based on a TV cartoon where the TV cartoon was more realistic than the movie. It deserved better treatment.

40. The plot was okay, but they just made it too hard to follow and pushed the "stupid" envelope.
Seriously, even in the TV cartoon those jump jacks would have snapped off at anything over 10 mph. They were a CONSTANT feature in the movie.

85. The Yellow Rolls Royce

The Yellow Rolls-Royce is a 1964 dramatic composite film written by Terence Rattigan, produced by Anatole de Grunwald and directed by Anthony Asquith, the trio responsible for The V.I.P.s (1963). Apparently adapting an idea from Seven Journeys, a 1947 German drama by Helmut Käutner that had its U.S. premiere in March 1951,<1> The Yellow Rolls-Royce uses a yellow 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II<4> to frame the story of three very different owners: an English aristocrat, a Chicago gangster and a wealthy American widow. It is set in the years up to and including the start of World War II. Prompted by the production team's success with The V.I.P.s, the film boasts a similar all-star cast,<2> including Rex Harrison, Ingrid Bergman, Shirley MacLaine, Omar Sharif, George C. Scott, Art Carney, Alain Delon and Jeanne Moreau.

The soundtrack song "Forget Domani" won Best Original Song at the 23rd Golden Globe Awards.
