I'm so excited! I won ribbons for 3 of my photos at the county fair this year! |
|
I posted them in the photography group, but I figured I'd post here too because it's busier. I've only won a few third place ribbons over the last three years, so I'm excited that I got first, second and third this year. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=280x92611

We're pretty proud of the boy. He's a hard worker and a great young man. Only one we've got, so it's a good thing... LOL!

oh man, fellow ag person
had to get a new pump, delivery screw up, then a broken part, then finally this evening got everything in, plumbed and it was running! bbbzzztttt short in a wire, burnt up a breaker. OH CRAP, I hope we didn't fry the motor...
haven't had water at the house essentially since Friday, took a cold bucket bath down at the well on Monday
ugh, may have to spring for a hotel if we have to wait for a motor, because it is the end of the week and you just know there won't be anything available until Monday
ah rural life

4. I read your water woes post from earlier |

That is miserable! I bet that cold bucket bath felt good as hot as it's been! Doesn't make up for the inconvenience of outhouse "plumbing" either. Yeah, rural life - never a dull moment!
Nice to see you too!

Here's a snippet about Orange County, VA history:
Established in 1734, Orange County is named in honor of William, Prince of Orange, who in that year married Anne, Princess Royal of England. Rich in history, it has the distinction of having been the largest Virginia county ever formed. Orange covered a vast territory extending from its present eastern boundary west to the Mississippi River and north to the Great Lakes. The states of Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia were once part of Orange County. Over time, its boundaries have contracted to an elongated county of approximately 37 miles by 17 miles.
