You know, Beagles are the goofiest dogs in the known universe

Sure, there are other goofy dogs. Hell, I lived with two goofy-assed Samoyeds for years. They were goofy, but at the end of the day, all they had to do was sit there, and in all their seated glory, their posture and face exclaimed "I am a Wolf! Hear me howl!"

All a Beagle can do is sit there and fart. And for that, I love the beagle. No pretense, no sense of superiority. They'll just as soon burp in your hear as lick your face. Maybe both at the same time.

Beagles have an off-kilter center of gravity. They have the old center of gravity from when they were Foxhounds, but short stumpy legs like that of a dachshund. As a result, turning corners on wood floors is hilarious. In fact one of the funniest things I ever saw was my beagle trying to navigate ice. After a while, she gave up and slid to and fro, figuring she'd land somewhere.
