What kind of non-microwave oven do they use at restaraunts? |
|
Subway has them, I think
Lots of Delis do too
Basically they cook stuff really quick, but not by using microwaves
Looks like one, but you can tell by both the consistency of the food afterwards, and the inside of the oven that they are not.

Can be gas or electric.
I love my gas oven with the convection fan. Cranks to 500 and when I put on the fan it will cook a pizza in 10 minutes.

3. Oven with a fan inside it. Supposed to heat faster. There are also convection/microwave ovens. |

4. The fan circulates the hot air in the oven. |
|
giving you even cooking throughout the chamber.
Generally when you cook with convection you set the temp 25 - 50 degrees lower.
