Poll question: Pants when you're over 60. What's your preference?
I know what I like but I'd like to get a "feel" for DU.

12. Well for one thing: never belt and suspenders at the same time.
Ever.

Ever.

Either one or the other, but not both. I think suspenders look better; they're a great accessory. As a man gets older, belted pants look less and less flattering.

But never both together.

Ever.

Ever.

2. Other - cotton jersey elastic waist pants with a drawstring
Because I ordered them a size too large and without the drawstring they fall down. These are sort of like exercise pants but in better colors.

3. Where do you buy those pants that old guys pull up
so that the waist appears to be under their arms?

I never see any mannequins displaying those pants.

4. I keep looking for them.
But have no luck in finding them.

I guess I'll have to sandbag some old guys in Florida.

7. When my brother was a kid, he was very skinny.
My dad would always say to him, "Don't pull your pants all the way up to your armpits. Put on a belt. You look like an old man."

Now my dad is 85. I wouldn't dare say anything about the pants he wears, pulled all the way up to his armpits.

5. When I am 60, I assume it will be workout shorts
Not because I work out anymore, but because you can gain weight and not notice it in those

8. Why 60?
Can't you just wear the same pants that you wore when you were 59? No need to turn into an old geezer at age 60!

It's only a number. :)

19. Oh, it just seems to be the "age" when things get weird.
When I turned 60 I moved to skinny jeans with cuffs and Converse All-Stars and black Calvin Klein t-shirts.

10. Okay, I had to ask my 22-year-old son's advice on this one
I just ain't into men's fashion. (Is that an oxymoron? :D )

He says "belt, zipper, suspenders" or sumpthin like that.

I can't wait to take pics of him at his 60th birthday party(of course I'll be alive for that!), you can damn sure bet I will pull out this poll at that party to gales of laughter and pointing at his belt, zipper and suspender-less body.
