6. Many, many, years ago at one of the fairs in southern Califonia
a woman was selling ices served in orange and lemon halves. The lemon was tart and sweet and the ice had the perfect texture. My ex raved about the orange one too. I still think about them when it gets hot.

21. Not a "fair food" in the strictest sense of the word, but...
...decades ago, the San Jose Flea Market on Berryessa had a pepper steak sandwich to die for.

Nothing more than cube steak onions and peppers on a French roll, but you didnt need any more than that. Cheap, delicious, KILLER>

at the Minn state fair when I was about 8 I ate 4 feet of the succulent sausages. (Note-I had a very indulgent grandmother) Who knew that a 12 inch tube full of pig innards could taste so good?

32. Real food - butter chicken
from a local restaurant that has a vending truck. Their samosas and chana masala are also excellent. (we have a large Indian population in my city, and lots of great Indian food)

Junk food - deep fried Mars bar. I don't like deep fried stuff, but a friend convinced me to try it a couple of years ago. I thought I'd died and went to heaven.
