15. Before commencing live-fire operations, tankers in the Army

conduct what are called "prep-to-fire checks". Safety checks, that kind of thing. Me and my old drinking buddies used to have a couple of beers in the barracks on Friday nights before heading out to the beer halls and clubs of Germany. We called those first couple of beers "prep-to-drinking checks".

Have a few more for me tonight. I have to cool it. Gotta work tomorrow...
