Any other fans here for the band: "Korn"? (Middle-aged or otherwise)

Oh my. I have only just recently discovered them and do they indeed ever ROCK!!!!!

My favorite: (Coming Undone) Great graphics, by the way, IMO:

Actually, the last few scenes kind of remind me of an M.C. Escher drawing:

Second favorite is: "Let The Guilt Go": (I guess I should post a warning...explicit lyrics here:)

In reading some of the comments left by fans, I noticed recurring sentiments like....Korn Rocks! *XYZ* band Sucks! In other words...MY band is better than YOUR band, na, na, na, na, na!

It was only upon further investigation that I come to find out that the target market for this band is with junior high school folks thru early 20's.

What?

Nope. Not me. Not now. Not by a long shot!!! But much to their raw (and I would add, courageous) musical credit, (especially given the horrific childhood of the lead singer, Jonathan Davis) I must admit that their songs do tap into (repressed?) angst, be it teenage or perhaps even middle-age (dare I say arrested development)....angst!

At least for me, anyway!

Korn DOES rock...by cracky!!!!!

So, I'm just wondering....any other middle-aged fans of this group here?

1. Our community radio station has TENS of thousands of CD's in its inventory...

... shelved alphabetically -- without regard to genre -- along almost every square inch of
wall space (as well as a huge room and walk-in closet full of vinyl)
.
.
.
One weekend, I was working on my show when one of our boomer/geezers (who had a
GREAT weekend folk music show) led a bunch of kids in on a tour of the station. While
he was explaining the extent of our collection, a ten-year old asked him if we had any
Korn (at the height of their popularity then -- I doubt we did as we left contemporary
pop to the commercial stations).
.
.
.
Our geezer (bless his clueless ol' boomer heart) said, "I don't know, but the C's are shelved
in the onair studio itself."

3. Love/hate relationship with Korn.
Some of their stuff, I absolutely love and is on my gym workout MP3 list (Got the Life, etc). Some of their stuff, I hate.

Korn is also responsible for Limp Bizkit, so there's that.

4. I know nothing about Limp Bizkit......
Seriously....for me, when I hear or read that....I envision a can of Pillsbury rolls *gone wrong* when opened ;-) (I'm still new to this kind of music!)

5. I really liked them when I was a teenager, but haven't listened to them in years.

6. I've only just discovered them..........
I think that their music (in some ways) could even be viewed as a positive "Public Service Announcement" in a way of expressing and allowing an outlet/avenue of just what some folks today might be feeling!

Prevention is the key...it would seem to me ~
