6. my parents will be a block away from a course

My dad is excited because their new house is NC will be a short walk to the course. The last time we lived within walking distance to a course was in Spain, when I caddied for him as a kid at one down the street - a nice private course. Should be a blast when I visit NC (after they move).

7. I'm considering moving across the street from a course here.

It's a 9-hole course, but it's only 8 bucks to play.

9 holes are cool! If you're bested by the hole the first round, you get a chance for revenge. That course in Spain was a 9 hole, but part of the Club Mediterranian. Our landlord's nephew worked for my Dad, and was heir to the Osborne wine and sherry empire, so we had connections, lol.

If you can find a copy of the movie "Cuba", rent it. They filmed it our last summer there in '78, and the round of golf featured in the movie was filmed on the course. :-) (It stars Sean Connery). It was just a mile down the street.

9. I only paid 18 bucks to walk 18 holes today!

That's an increase!! Last time I played it was 17 bucks! Damned inflation!

3. This week I had the dueling Mirrorball's

I listened to both Neil Young's Mirrorball and Sarah McLachlan's Mirrorball.

Yup, I'm a musically eclectic woman. So, how are those ribs doing? :)

Cool! Neil's album brings back memories of Seattle's heyday when he recorded that album ('95). He used to make impromptu appearances at local clubs with his acoustic while in town. I missed them, but it was cool knowing he was around. A good friend had the McLachlan, so I know it too!

The ribs are SMOKIN'!!!! I am thinking 45 minute or so tops. Got some reallllly spicy and smooth sauce waiting for its turn with the smoke. :D
