What a delicious, sweet, succulent smell is the smell of defeat as Red Sox fans are forced for yet another year to rend their clothing, wear sackcloth, and heap ashes upon their heads in shame and dishonor.

10. man they looked out of it from the get-go

7-2 now, Os just whupping them...the Baltimore lineup will do some damage this season, Miguel had some big hits and LOTS of put-outs, Palmeiro is his usual hitting machine self, and Javy Lopez did his damage a bat...I just might be able to watch the Os this year and enjoy it. Time to get the evil empire gear tomorrow :eyes:

It's only a game played by spoiled millionaires anyway, supported by people who think it's fun to watch people with vast wealth (in comparison to the typical fan) hit balls around.

Personally, I'd rather read a book, but I'm always happy to hear when the Yankees win for some reason.

Still, it's just a damn sport and who cares who wins and loses, really, and all needling (at least by me) is done in fun. Though I know there are a lot of neanderthals out there who actually take it seriously enough to hit people for being fan of the "wrong" team.
