Running the pages at the state convention was a blast!

To everyone who suggested sedation (for me, the kids or both) when I asked for tips on running a herd of 50-60 teens and pre-teens for three days, I was not necessary.

Amphetemines (for *me*, not them) probably would have been more appropriate.

It probably helped that I was not completey in loco parentis as on a school trip, and so had some downtime at the start and end of each day to get recharged and reorganized.

I had no idea who integral those kids were to keeping the convention on schedule (primarily for ballots) or that I would have to turn into floor whip/oldest page to make sure all the ballots went well. I had to haul my 46-year old posterior up and down the stairs to credentials 2 to 3 times more often than those kids during every vote.

Since so many offered their condolences and suggestions in advance, thought I'd give a report. If you're ever asked to do it 1) accept (I was a great experience) and 2) write for advice.
