Random, unknown indie band from the 90's: Sugartime....

O.K. I'm in the process of converting all of my vinyl to mp3 format. As such this included a 7" single I bought back in 1992 by a band called Sugartime. I had never heard anything about them before or after, but the song on the A-side of this single was called "Awestruck" and it remains 14 years later one of the catchiest gems of indie rock I have ever heard. It has a definite 80's vibe but with a super-infectious guitar riff.

I just did an Allmusic search and it turns out that they only did that one single, and the only person of note in the band was the singer and guitar player who of all things was the former guitarist in the Swans and Jim Thirwell's Foetus projects.

Strange. But I have never been able to find anyone who has heard of them or heard the song.
