CONFESS!!!!! You are a fan of Bob Ross

Anyone else watch this guy's show on PBS? He died a few years back but damn if this guy could paint a pretty picture in 30 minutes or less.

And you had to love the "Happy Little Clouds"

:D

4. Confess? GLADLY!!!
I loved Bob Ross and his happy little show. I ran across it by accident one day in about 1987. I fell in love with the serene good vibe of the show. I never had any interest in oil painting, but I watched the show faithfully. He was the greatest. I miss him.

35. I thought I was going to have to take my mom and aunt to
the hospital they were laughing so hard when, one day, that wonderful German gentleman said, mid-paintbrush-stroke: "Ahh mine GOTT I haf a headache!!! Ack!"

He said it with such vigor, and it was so unexpected, that we all burst out laughing and I thought my family was going to completely lose it, once and for all, right there.

Didn't he die of a stress-related something-or-other?

29. Gone too soon.
Anyway you look at it.

I remember my daughter painting a piece of furniture once, and i asked what she was gonna do w/it and she said "I think I'll put some happy little trees in this corner..."

The dresser fell apart, but I salvaged the drawer fronts and have them hung on the wall, knobs and all.

22. we use to watch it in college too
we each had our own designated color (I think mine was burnt sienna or something like that) and who's ever color got used at any given moment had to take a shot. It's amazing what kind of drinking games college students can come up with.

I imagine that anyone trying to paint by watching those shows sliced through a good number of canvases.

26. Take the Bob Ross Quiz and WINWINWINWINWINWIN
I'm serious - you could win something

http://www.bobross.com/bobrossquiz.html

Well, it's the March Quiz, but I'm sure they'll have an April Quiz

1). Why does Bob Ross use criss-cross strokes instead of long, even horizontal strokes to paint his sky?

2).Paying close attention to angles, paint the back and then the front and side ... what am I?

3). Match each word in Column A with its most closely related word in Column B:
Column A Column B
(a) misty (1) straight
(b) upward (2) corner
(c) bend (3) tap
(d) cut (4) fluff
(e) round (5) pressure

4). True or False: Bob Ross doesn't always clean and dry his big paint brush thoroughly before picking up another color.

5). In one sentence, and without using the words "pull", "flat", "edge", or "roll", describe the way in which Bob Ross loads the paint onto his palette knife.
