1. Country musicians have been kickin' it since before electricity!
Johnny Cash coulda taught Led Zeppelin a thing or three about wrecking hotel rooms.

The guitar that Skaggs is playing could be a Tacoma; they've been known to do strange things with the soundhole.

:hi:

6. Johnny used to like to tell the story about...
...traveling between gigs in a station wagon with Carl Perkins & The Tennessee Three, and one morning they woke up with the ass-end of the car sticking in the bottom of a ditch and the front end pointing straight up in the air. No one in the car remembered how they got there.

I'm convinced that even though the CLASSIC song "Six Days On The Road" is a "trucker's anthem," it was also written for road warriors like Johnny:

Well, I pulled out of Pittsburgh,
Rollin' down the Eastern Seaboard.
I've got my diesel wound up,
And she's running like never before.
There's a speed zone ahead, all right,
I don't see a cop in sight.
Six days on the road and I'm gonna make it home tonight.

I got ten forward gears,
And a Georgia overdrive.
I'm taking little white pills,
And my eyes are open wide.
I just passed a 'Jimmy' and a 'White':
I've been passin' everything in sight.
Six days on the road and I'm gonna make it home tonight.
