i just stumbLed across this stupid bit i wrote the day after the cubs' game 6 meLtdown. if you've seen it before, too bad. :P

President Bush said he is "very disturbed" by what happened in the Cubs' game 6 loss (alluding to the fan interference on an 8th inning pop into the stands). Steve Bartman (the interfering fan) is said to have links to al-Queda, although the president didn't offer up any further information on his connections.

Bush however, has instructed John Ashcroft to prosecute Bartman under the country's tough, new anti-terrorism laws. "We will not allow our lives and our baseball games to be dictated by evil doers," said the president before a corporate investors meeting, adding "we will find them wherever they are and exact swiftly justice."

when told of his brother's (Jeb Bush) offer of asylum in Florida, President Bush had this to say: "We will make no distinction between the terrorists, and states that harbor them."
