What strange food do your critter(s) like? My cat just tried to lick peanut butter |
|
of my knife. I took it away from her. Don't know if it is bad for cats or not.

My one Siamese does broccoli, pork rinds and licks plastic bags. My other Siamese will do cashews, but no other nut, thank you.

He weighed well over 30 lbs. Hmmmm..
Also our beloved Kwan Yin was mad for fried chicken! "It's paw-lickin' good!"

I had one cat who loved a green olive. You would have thought it was catnip or something! I don't know what it was about it, but he would roll himself around it...never ate it - but was definitely attracted to it for some strange reason ~

3. Bunny the Cat loves fruit, particularly stone fruit. |
|
Peaches, plums, cherries, she loves them more than meat. Watermelon, bananas, oranges, juicy stuff.
She also loves cereal, particularly Special K.

8. I once had a kitten... |
|
named Charcoal who quite by accident we discovered liked popcorn and beer...so much so in-fact that she began to turn up her nose at everything but popcorn and beer. No dry food, nor wet food. No kibble. No roughage. Nothing she could predate upon (we tried crickets)...she refused to eat anything but popcorn. She'd drink water...but never leave your beer on the ground or on any table she could reach because she'd headbutt it over and lap lap lap. Meanwhile the vet is getting ever more pissed off at me and saying I'm abusing Charcoal.
I'm like "You see if you can get her to eat food then, doc. I'm spending more on microwave popcorn for her than I'm spending on food for me."

We can't leave a glass of iced tea unattended without finding our cat face down in it lapping it up like she needed it to preserve the last of her 9 lives.

Our Manx is crazy for vanilla flavor, especially plain cheesecake, ice cream or whip cream. Just a few licks off your finger and he's done, but man, he doesn't let up until he gets it.

16. My pisspot kitteh demands my egg yolks every morning |
|
She'll "mow" at me till I make fried eggs and will keep yelling at me till I drizzle the yellow stuff into "her" paper plate--the one she demanded be filled with finely diced chicken breast twice before the eggs--once when Mr. MG set foot in the kitchen and again when I arrived--but she polishes off the chicken long before the egg yolk lands in her plate, so that's okay. Because mixing them would be weird, right?
She's not spoiled. Not at all. :eyes:

22. Another melonhead in my household |
|
My cat loves cantaloupe and honeydew melon. She'll do peanut butter, too, but not too much of it. She will drink soy milk, too. My first cat adored baked goods. She'd rip into bags of bread and eat hunks out of it. I once left a tray of muffins on the stove to cool. I came back a few hour later, and she had taken a bite or two out of each one of them. She also loved Italian food and El Charito Mexican TV dinners and donuts. She would lick the tray clean after I ate the dinner. The old man adored beans, squash and pumpkin.

We didn't dare leave bread out on the counter because he'd tear the plastic wrapper open and gnaw big holes in the crust.

He would drag the whole loaf down the hall and into my friend's closet, where he would then consume it. He left every other brand of sandwich bread alone.

He's also crazy about my homemade multi-grain bread. He just waits for an opportunity to snag it off the table if we forget and leave it there.
I had a Siamese mix cat who loved spaghetti (cooked, plain or with sauce, she didn't care). Just sucked the stuff down.

One of mine loves celery...he will lick it, eat it, roll on it, rub his face on it. Sometimes when I open the refrigerator for something and the door stay open for a minute, if there is celery on a low enough shelf, he will have his head inside rubbing against the celery. I learned to keep in a drawer or on a top shelf. He also loves cheese, milk with sugar, and waffle syrup.
The other cat...chicken, turkey, steak, chicken. turkey, steak...you get the picture....
I have had dogs who loved watermelon, olives, Brussels sprouts, all kinds of weird things...

Last year when I was outside carving pumpkins for Halloween, a chunk fell on the ground (I think it was the eyeball cutout). A large chunk, and Jake is a little rat terrier. He hauled it off and happily proceeded to munch on it til gone. Then he wanted more! :hi:
