I'm thinking that Bill & Eric are going to go war against The Vampire Authority.
And Russell Edgington will choose to team up with them. After all, they did spare him the true death... He might be a little grateful.

1. Russell will go after Eric.
But maybe you're right.

I'm more interested in what will happen to Tara and :wtf: with Steve Newlin? I don't want to wait until next summer! :(

2. Tara. Oh God, yes
Bill and Eric should potentially feel Sookie's dispair and come to the rescue. The miraculous qualities of vamp blood are amazing to behold.

3. If Pam was the one that dug up Russell - I highly doubt it
Pam wants Sookie dead but she can't be the one that kills her else Eric would just snuff her out in a second. But if Russell kills Sookie then Pam is protected since Russell is 3 times the age of Eric.

I hope to god Eric gives Sookie her house back. The one thing that protected Sookie in the past is that she owned her house and could keep vampires from entering without her permission (since Sookie can't be glamourized). But since Eric owns it - Russell can walk right in and I'm sure Pam will share that lil detail with Russell if she's the one that dug him up.

9. I wouldn't bet on Russell having any loyalty to Pam
IF she is the one that dug him up.

11. Pam really serves no purpose to Russell
Honestly, the more I think about it - I really hope next year has a big focus on the battle between the Authority and the Rebels/Russell.

It seems like Alan Ball cleared away plenty of extra characters in season #4 - the death toll includes Nan Flanigan, Melinda & Joe-Lee Mickens, Tommy Mickens, Jesus, Marcus Bozman, Marnie and a couple of her wiccan friends and oh possibly Tara. And instead of creating a bunch of new characters Alan Ball is revisiting some of our favorites from season 1-3.

Because we're dealing with a 3000 year old vampire - Bill & Eric are going to have to work with a variety of Supes to help defeat him including the Weres of Shreiveport (which will probably have Alcide as packmaster next year), Shifters, Wiccans and Mediums (Lafayette is a Medium).

I also think we'll still see Jesus next year - he may help Lafayette understand his skills in a way that he can control them and put them to good use.

13. I really hope we see more Jesus
With all the messed up characters it was nice to have a calm and peaceful person.

I really don't think Pam let Russell out. She may be pissed at Eric but I think she would be too afraid Russell will him. I really hope they throw us a curveball on this one...

It's funny how Bill and Eric have become "friends" through their love for Sookie. I know they have worked together before to save her but I see it lasting, even after Sookie.

4. You think The Vampire Authority will be the S5 antagonists?
That should be exciting. It is good to see Bill and Eric working together. Do we even know who The Vampire Authority is? We always just saw Nan.

5. I'd like to think the Authority are some famous people throughout history
that were turned vampire before they died. Like Louis Pasteur (who earlier this season we found out was turned to vampire).

6. I can't imagine Louis Pasteur as a bad guy
I am thinking of The Vampire Authority as somewhat like the Volturi, from the Twilight series. I don't remember reading about them in the books, but from what I know from the show, they are a bunch of bureaucrats. But Bill said that you don't get to quit The Vampire Authority, so maybe they are nefarious, like the Illuminati or something. I think they are probably power hungry authoritarian types with no ethics or morals, this especially because they chose Nan to be their front-person and she was such a bitch. Now who is going to be the new face of the AVL?

7. Oh gawd - what if the authority turns out to be people like Hitler, Amin or Pol Pot
:scared:

8. They were murderous despots in their human form
Imagine Pol Pot as a vampire! Makes me mad just thinking about it. But, because I think age is a factor, hopefully we won't get any of the more recent maniacal tyrants. I do like your thinking though and using rulers from history would give the writers depth for character development. If we do see more of The Vampire Authority, I am guessing we will see old royalty.

10. Wait...did you just bring Twilight into the discussion about True Blood?

12. I meant to apologize ahead of time for that.
But it was an easy analogy to explain what I believe. Forgive me, no one is more appalled by the Twilight series than myself.

16. Hey! Maybe that's how they'll work Bubba into the plot!
I always was sorry they left him out, though I doubt the estate would be pleased.

14. I was really enjoying the idea of Pam
coming to Tara's rescue and turning her.. haha.. that would just be awesome.. but it is more possible that Bill or Eric will save Tara and Tara and Sookie will become rivals for some vampie love or maybe Russel will do it .. how hellish that would be for Tara

But waiting until next summer to find out what's up is cruel

15. We don't know who will arrive first to Sookie's house
And since Pam is clearly beside herself in anger over the whole banishment by Eric, she could be first and she knows she can enter the house.

And maybe she'll have a grasp of humanity and be the one to save Tara for she knows if she saves Tara she would be back in Eric's good graces.
