Weird. My PTSD gets going when I'm in a car moving these days. But I started playing with
a bungee cord that had a little plastic end..that had a hole in it...just wide enough for my index finger to fit it it. When I put my finger in it...I had no PTSD. Almost like I was being held and felt secure..... though it was only my index finger. Weird? Now I know.

2. Someone could get some made-in-china bungee cords with a place to stick a finger
then mark them up to $290 and sell them as ptsd relievers covered by medicare/tricare.

Hows that for innovation?

3. This is interesting
I know PTSD can be quite debilitating, so something simple to relieve the symptoms is valuable.

5. I hadn't heard of Temple's squeeze machine
But I read about the weighted blankets for autism, similar principle, I think.

6. Here
The "squeeze machine" applies lateral, inwardly directed pressure to both lateral aspects of a person's entire body, by compressing the user between two foam-padded panels.

I could use one of these now.

7. Thank you and a link to the magic blanket site
You need a hug? Here  And here is the link to the weighted blankets, I believe they work in a similar fashion and the blanket would fit anywhere. http://www.beanblanket.com/?gclid=CJz9rpT-n6sCFQhrgwodLzuGZg

10. maybe you hit an acupressure point
i did the five minute phobia cure to get over my fear of driving over bridges and it worked like magic, so long ago that i don't remember what acu pressure point i had to "tap" for the cure

it was like magic, it doesn't seem logical that it would work...but for me it did and has held for over 20 years so i presume the phobia is gone forever, knock on wood

experiment a little maybe, this might be something really helpful rather than just silliness

11. I'm thinking I will tell my brother (the bungee cord is his) and ask if I can have it.
