...but I just wanna say that nadinbrzezinski is the best DU'er OF ALL TIME!

My transgender friend in San Diego has been very sick for over a week. She has a home and health insurance.

When she went to Scripps Mercy hospital the day before yesterday, they told her to buy some tylenol and that the ED "isn't a hotel."

When her symptoms got worse earlier today, I made an appeal in the general discussion forum for somebody that lives in the area to accompany her to the ED and advocate on her behalf if necessary.

As nadinbrzezinski was responding to my post, my friend called 911. nadinbrzezinski recommended that she go to UCSD instead, then packed up the laptop, drove to the hospital and contacted me via skype.

A COMPLETE STRANGER!!! HELPING!!! OMG!!!

nadinbrzezinski then stayed at the hospital and updated me as they put my friend on an IV for dehydration and determined that she has a viral infection.

... which I've gathered can kill you if it goes unchecked. No mercy at Scripps Mercy hospital -- as I said before, they didn't do anything. At UCSD tonight, they almost admitted her it was so bad. nadinb stayed there the whole time, then took her home.
