This day in music history: 1977: RIP Marc Bolan

One of Glam Rock's greats died today when the driver of the car he was in lost control and ran into a tree.

Marc Bolan is known for both his work with T. Rex and his solo career.

I had an almost life sized poster of them (Micky Finn too) in my bedroom (as a teenager). He was dressed in satin pink. I still love Electric Warrior - and I still think it sounds as good now as it did then. I have many of their songs on my MP3 player.
