Would you pay $400 for a Lego set? |

But that set is pretty impressive.
I am eternally grateful that MG Jr., while a Lego aficionado, is able to say of his own accord, "Wow, mama, that's a lot of money" instead of throwing a "gotta have it" tantrum. Mr. MG wanted to buy him the Death Star (also $400), but the kid said no! :wow:

2. No. I love the look of them, but I know my kids would mix the pieces in with all their |
|
other sets and never be able to recreate that one again!

For my kid. Really, I swear.

4. What's with all the Star Wars stuff right now? |
|
Just made a Walmart run to pick up some essentials, and there's Star Wars crap all over the store from pajamas to popcorn. Literally: you can get Death Star p.j.'s and Wookie popcorn. Is Lucas re-issuing it in 3-D or something?
It feels like a flashback.

5. The series is being re-issued on Blu-Ray. |

That might account for the uptick.

7. You can get it for $319 on amazon, but still.... |
|
I remember my mom telling me to treat the large Lego set she got me for Christmas back in 1976 or '77 as though it were worth its weight in gold. At the time it sold for close to $40.
Ridiculous for pieces of molded plastic.

9. They have a "you design your own set" |
|
you download a program, and build whatever you want, and it tells you the price to have it put together, with instructions.
My first castle would have cost a bit over a grand. I did not buy it.
If they made a super-deluxe Milenium Falcon model large enough that I could actually live in it, I would consider it though.

$400 strikes me as a bargain for an intergalactic war craft.
I could probably conquer earth in a weekend, and I'll bet it's a chick magnet!
