Today's College Football and Tailgate Thread
Oklahoma at Florida State is the big game today (8 pm eastern), but there are a few other interesting games too, like Texas at UCLA, Tennessee at Florida, and Michigan State at Notre Dame this afternoon, and then Ohio State-Miami and Arizona State-Illinois tonight.

So who is your team playing? What games are you looking forward to?

It's a great fall day here in Illinois--perfect for tailgating--so what's on the grill, DU?

1. I SO wish I could be in Champaign-Urbana tonight!
This game should be a good matchup and there's nothing like the beginning of fall in the Midwest :) I just hope it'll be nationally broadcast so I get a chance to see it.

4. It's on the Big 10 Network, and I think it's the only game on the network at that time
I just checked the Big 10 overflow channels that show the regional games, and they don't have anything listed at that time, so I assume it's on across the network. It should be a fun game to watch, and it's nice to see a quality non-conference team come to town. It's been since 2006 that we played a BCS conference team here.

:hi:

19. And we pulled it out!

:woohoo:

I actually did get to watch the first half of the game at a bar, so that was great, but they switched all the TVs over to the Mayweather/Ortiz fight so I missed the end. Glad to hear the Illini won though. :toast: Have a cold one at Murphy's for me!

22. woohoo!
Sorry you missed the second half, but yes the Illini pulled it out. Biggest non-conference win in a long time, I think.

3-0 and should be 6-0 when Ohio State comes to town. :bounce:

2. Not much of a football weekend...Air Force Falcons are idle this week
The mighty Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks take on #19 Baylor tonight in Waco. I'm sure THAT will go well.

Alabama hosts North Texas in Tuscaloosa at 6:30 pm (CT). ROLL TIDE!

8. Wow -- 10-7 Temple
Penn State was only a 7 point favorite, but Temple hasn't beaten Penn State since 1941.

13. WVU tried to give it away... but finally beat the Terps 37-31
It finally feels like football weather here in the "Wild & Wonderful"... and Chez DU (home of Lyric, LyricLad and me, LeftyClimber and MrLefty, and ClimberKid) munched on a halftime feast of BBQ'ed kielbasa, homemade potato skins, and cheddar biscuits while watching the Mountaineers make turtle soup!

Next week, we host LSU...

14. Close one. Georgia edges Coastal Carolina 59-0
I guess the coaching staff thought points could be applied to games from previous weeks.
