Really? You're gonna blame my cats for the kittens found underneath your shed
I have to realize that one day I'll be really old and probably accuse my neighbors of bizarre things.

Yesterday my neighbor called me (why I gave her my number I do not know) and said she found my cats - they were in her backyard underneath her shed and they had a litter of kittens. I was to deal with the situation and how dare I be that irresponsible of a pet owner.

Only problem - my cats were sitting in the room with me living the sedentary life of a neutered housecat.

I'd get involved but she drives me bonkers and her daughter is a racist asshole. I gave her the number for faithful friends and said to call them to deal with the issue.

1. Be wary if she brings you a pie.
Kitten pie, good for using up those extra kittens you've got in the back of the icebox...or under the shed.

5. The critter clueless make me nervous.
I'd retrieve the kittens (and mom?) anyway and call a local shelter or rescue. Okay I admit it, I'd probably just keep the critters. LOL.

A few years back a neighbor called me to complain that my kitty was sitting in her birdbath. Clearly my cat is a genius because he knew where birds hang out. After laughing for about a half-hour, I lured The Mondo Kitty back home with kitty treats.

6. I really do not want any additional cats in my house
at this time the cats have a dry, safe place to stay. They managed to make it thru Hurricane Irene/Tropical Storm Lee up here in the Mid-Atlantic. So they can stay there until Faithful Friends show up.

8. Actually my neighbor lady said she had already called them
I'll give it a week then try again

They are in a very protected area with plenty of tall fences so they'll be safe there. Plenty of mice and birds they can grab for dinner.

10. I had a nasty neighbor call me once ....
to tell me my dog was in her yard and I should come and get it.

Nope, not my dog (who was sitting by my feet)! Hope she was embarrassed, but I doubt it.

This is only one reason I now have an unlisted number.
