Has anyone seen the movie "THE HELP"???
I saw it last night with a local book club. Incredibly slow movie but had some great stuff in it.

I am not surprised at how hateful and shallow the white women were. There were so many of them I couldn't keep them straight.

Sissy Spacek was great comic relief.

1. Yep...really liked it
That being said, the book was a whole lot better. The movie followed the book fairly well, however it left out of lot of details.
"Hateful" is putting it mildly...disgusting how people treat other people. Good ole "bible" belt hate at it's finest.

7. +2 for references to the Beatles and Emily Latella
I also first thought the OP was about the Beatles' second movie.

9. The author's being sued by the real woman whose story she stole.
I wouldn't want to put money in her pocket, having read the story of the real woman she exploited to make a buck. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2033369/Her-family-hired-maid-12-years-stole-life-Disney-movie.html

10. Yes, I've seen it. The most astonishingly racist comment
I ever heard was from a white woman raised in Jackson, MS.
