the reason I've been posting country music.possibly joining band
I've been offered a spot in a little local country/rock/whatever band as rhythm guitarist.
Nothing big..just a local band that does festivals and bars..a bar band, but it's been a while since I've been on stage and it is tempting..love being on stage.Nothing like attention to an attention whore :)

The lead guitarist is retooling his band..all he wants to keep is the drummer..new bassist..new singer..me as the first second guitar he ever had...considering it.They have been hard country as the video will show but going more of a rock/country theme with a little more edge...no heavy metal or anything..just a little more punch in the sound.

Don't pay attention to the band..just the guitarist...see if you think a retooled band with him as lead has any hope.

1. Yeah. Go do this.
I could play behind this guy in a minute. I notice he's not about hogging the spotlight with every lick known to man in thirty seconds, but seems to be in favor of supporting the song. That's what I look for in any ensemble musician.

With his tone all humbucker dark like that, I would go for chimey/jangly single-coil stuff to back him up. P-90 pickups into a Vox AC30 would kill! What kind of guitar/amp setup would you be using?

I hear you all the way down the block about missing the stage. There's NOTHING like seeing the girls dance to what you're playing. It's better than sex, 'cause more people can watch without laughing!
