smart idea from a locksmith

i needed a key cut for my truck
i went to locksmith
needed special theft proof lock key
he said "why are you getting more keys cut?"
told him i wanted one to be able to unlock if i locked keys inside
he said security keys can run up to 50 bucks for a blank depending on make and model
he cut me a regular key without the theft device built in
it will unlock the doors but will not start the truck
so i can put a hide a key and never worry that it will be used to do more than open the truck

I can just see it now...not that I wish this on you...the car thief finding your key and wondering why in hell he can't start the truck with it!

2. i have a huge keyring

i am not ever losing or misplacing it it is massive
i have locked myself out since i got this truck
he also had plastic keys in a credit card sixed slip of plastic you keep with your id and stuff
its a 1 use key you snap out of the plastic
interesting stuff
