i have had bees in my yard for maybe 3 weeks i have 2 big garbage cans i use to compost garbage i turrn the moosh into the other can until its compost back and forth can to can big plywood piece for a cover bees moved onto the bottom of the plywood piece made a home i went to put garbage into compost heap flipped up board and then it gets a little garbled at that point they swarmed me and i screamed like a little girl and ran into my house swatting at myself and swearing no stings had one still on me when i got into the house i slapped his silly butt back outside no stings though we have "killer bees 'in florida now as far north as ocala 2 days later kid is mowing my yard before i could warn him not to get near bees no stings no swarm and "killer bees" do not care for mowers i asked around and was assured that likely these were indeed honeybees that had swarmed and were holing up in my compost i found a honey dealer local who was more than willing to come out and get the bees tuesday night she is glad to get them and is getting a nice new hive all ready for them
