Why is it when I'm abroad |
|
Do I find the most boorish, rude, condescending right wing a-holes possible?
Are they the only ones TSA lets out?
I just don't get it.

Is the farthest abroad I've ever been and I was 12, 35 years ago, and with my Grandparents at an Airstream international rally. Not even sure if that counts as abroad. BUt I got ice cream every day and got to play checkers with the old guy in the trailer next door and saw bag-pipers and RCMPs and it was kinda fun.
I have no doubt that the situation would be different if I went further afield today.
Maybe it's that the condescending right wing a-holes that are the only ones dumb enough to shout "Hey Lookit mneeeeeeeeeee! I'm from the GD US OF A!" in a foreign country.

As I type, come to think of it...
Unfortunately, many of our countrymen (usually the right wingers, IMO) don't even realize that the "ugly American" stereotype belongs to them!

they didn't live the stereotype. It's hard to get around it when everyone else really is that way.

The folks who know how to behave tend to be low key and don't get noticed. The jerks do.
