Ok, so I am a senior. But I don't count as a senior because I don't have 90 completed credits (even though I will have 96 completed credits five weeks from now).
Seniors and grad students get to register today, but everyone else registers based on the day of the month we're born. Every semester I get pushed farther and farther back in the rotation, so this year I'm forced to register on the second to last day.
And it's not like the rotation changes around, or has some randomness to it, it just keeps getting pushed back each semester. I started out having about 2/3 of everyone registering before me, and now it's even worse! If it was randomly allocated, I'd be ok with it, but it isn't. If I were born on the 1st, I'd have been registering in the first third of students every single semester the whole time I've been here, but no.... I'm stuck with the 17th, so it's always in the last portion.
So like I said, I should be registering today. Everyone gets to register before me, and once again, I'll be forced out of classes I need to take to graduate.
It's not that my petrology classes will be filled, it's just those core requirements. We're required to take an art core credit to graduate, but the trouble is, there are four non-restricted entry 100-level art courses offered, and they're ALL already filled.
So I either have to put it off, or (yet again) chase an art professor around like I'm some sort of stalker trying to get on the waiting list, only to have the prfessor tell me, "I'm sorry the class doesn't start for another six months, but there are already 406 people on the waiting list before you, you should have tried to get on my waiting list in 1991." This will be the seventh time I've tried to add an art class.
It's absurd, they should make ALL 100-level art classes open to everyone, or they should not require an art credit in the core. It's absurd to do this over and over, and I'm sick of it.
Plus I'm a fucking senior, and there doesn't seem to be any use for the early registration for seniors, since no one aparently gets to use it until their final semester!
