Favorite type of poodle?
Personally I hate poodles - only dog I do not want to be around. It was a big old mean, nasty standard size poodle that ripped a bit of flesh out behind my knee. My dad wanted to strangle the owner of the dog, because he was not a good pet owner and the dog just roamed around the neighborhood growling at people. He finally got the police to issue a warning that the dog must be leashed when outdoors or they would take the dog from the home. Personally if the euthanized the dog I wouldn't have shed a tear! I was 8 years old and had to get a fricking tetanus shot and those things HURT!! (But I did get ice cream afterwards)

So what's your favorite poodle.

6. Sorry that happened to you.
But standard poodles are cool. My neighbor has one and he is the sweetest thing. My mom has a mini poodle- can't stand that thing.

7. Had a poodle and loved her.
Unfortunately, she ran out of the house at night into the road. She was black and the road was black tar. A car hit her and she died on the way to the vet. The driver was not at fault because he couldn't see her on the black-top road.

Had a Miniature when I was a kid; smart and sweet Louie.
'Met' a very nice Standard years ago; smart, pleasant, friendly.
NOW I 'babysit' a 'Toy' belonging to neighbor occasionally. Smart, friendly, cuddly.

Used to have a Bedlington Terrier, and wanted to have a Standard Poodle along w her. Never happened.

Bedlington:

16. The Bedlington Terrier you had kind of looks like my dog..
Gordon, who is a Goldendoodle. He has Standard Poodle in him, so standard's my favorite kind of poodle. Gordon's friendly with all people, nice to dogs that are nice to him, very intelligent, sweet - also has a watchdog and spunky side. He got the best of both breeds IMO.

10. My brown poodle
Ty found us about a year and a half ago. He's the sweetest dog I've ever known. He barks only when he's playing fetch (he loves playing fetch and gets very excited), and has never growled or snarled or bitten anyone or any other animal. He shares toys with his cousin Abby, a Boston terrier, and he always lets her have the toy she wants, even if it's one he's chewing on. He likes to hug people, and loves to be cuddled.

He was quite sick when he found us that cold winter day. Now he's the picture of health.

He's a miniature poodle, one size down from standard.

Mr. froggy and I love him sooo much!

12. A blackToy Poodle walked into our backyard many years ago.
The magnificent Mopsie. She'd been dumped. She was utterly sweet, very quiet, never yapped. She became our daughter's boon companion for many years. And when we got a Kuvasz (big white Hungarian version of a Great Pyrenees) he was utterly respectful of her. One evening she was having her dinner and he wandered near out of friendly curiosity. I heard this odd noise like a little clock grinding its gears, and he backed away fast. I realized it was Mopsie growling at him. She was a treasure.

15. Standard poodles can be good dogs, but be very careful.
They are among the breeds that have suffered the most from bad breeding practices.

Believe it or not, they were originally hunting dogs.
