Edited on Fri Sep-30-11 12:47 AM by Manifestor_of_Light
This is a follow-up to the thread about pierced ears being barbaric/slutty.

Mom also thought bikini panties were slutty. My sister and I were doomed since we didn't wear nylon granny panties like Mom did.

"they just might fall off"

5. Just like pierced ears
My mom thought the same thing about the panties.

I have a son, and I'm almost 50. I am glad I didn't have a daughter now because I am afraid I'd be the same way about my 4th grade daughter wanting to wear a thong. I work at a middle school and I'm shocked at the number of 6th grade girls that wear thongs. I'm thinkin' it is much more of a fashion statement than it is they are concerned about visible panty lines... LOL! Especially when I see them every time the bend over!

Guess I'm getting old. Next thing you know I'll be yelling at the kids to get off my lawn!

of inappropriate under and over garments she wants me to provide her with, I tell her

"Those are not garments a mother buys for a daughter, those are garments that a stripper
purchases for herself."

She's a senior in high school, and if she want to dress like a stripper,
she can get a job and buy her own stripper clothes.

Last week she got sent home from school for wearing
shiny lycra pants. (She saved up and spent all of her
birthday money, $80! on them.)I warned her when she bounced out
the door that she was pushing the envelope.

Well, sure enough, I got the call at around 11:00. She was in the
office, sounding choked up, could I come and get her.

She was so upset and humiliated when I picked her up that I
didn't have the heart to say "I told you so", so I bought
her a coffee and we played hooky for the rest of the day. She has
extra clothes in her locker now in case she winds up on the
wrong side of the dress code in the future. She is dressing a TAD
bit more circumspectly now.

6. Panties that just fall off,
a little slip on a banana-peel, and a girl can find herself in real trouble.

It's only common sense.

19. There is a website dedicated to ridiculing that guys art. There is celery in almost every one of...
his paintings.

Art Frahm;

Apparently in his world, elastic is never used in the construction of women's underwear.

10. OMG I forgot about that!
Why yes she did! I had completely forgotten about that kerfuffle. We compromised (for a while) with "hipsters"--basically bikinis with an inch or so more fabric on the sides--but eventually I boldly bought bikinis (and--gasp--a couple of "string bikinis"!) and she didn't make as much of a fuss.

Imagine how their heads would have exploded if thongs had been as common back then as they are today--!

16. No
But I remember thinking this girl named Sheri from P.E. class was the absolute shiznit because her yellow panties matched her yellow bra. That was a pretty extraordinary thing in 1972, to have matching underwear.

20. Does anybody's mom, or anybody here, think hair sticking out of a woman's bikini panties is slutty?
Or hair on any part of a woman's body below the neck?

It strikes me that one thing that many people, and society in general, are very prudish about in this day and age, is body hair on women. It seems that women in our society practically have to go through all kinds of pain and trouble to remove any and all body hair, and look like plastic Barbie dolls. This seems to be more true now than it was in the 1960's or 1970's. Back then women shaved their legs and underarms, but many women still kept hair on their arms and in their pubic region. Now hair even in these areas is generally removed.

I think it is a crime that society imposes on women the demand to remove any and all body hair and to look like Barbie dolls.

I myself could never identify with the desire to pierce any part of one's body, though if other people want to do it, that is their business. However I cannot understand why piercing one's body, particularly one's tongue (OUCH!), would be accepted in our society but women keeping their natural body hair is not accepted.

Personal disclosure: I am a heterosexual male and have had an attraction to body hair on women since adolescence. I particularly find very sexy a woman who is attractive by other standards, and who has more than a little body hair, and who keeps her body hair, and who likes and is happy with her natural state and natural hair.

And I know that there are other men, and women too, who like women with body hair. I have been posting for a number of years on an adult chat board devoted to discussion of female body hair.

And really, is mine or anybody's attraction to women with body hair any more strange than the attraction of a gay or lesbian person to another person of the same sex?
