First day at the new job. Life is good. The commute was not. |

I'm sorry to hear how sucky the commute is...
But I'm thrilled to hear that life is good!
I'm hoping that the commute will soon be less onerous...somehow!

2. Your profile says you're in CA ... |

I thought every car trip in CA should be you, wearing sunglasses, grinning nonstop, as you drive your convertible along the sundrenched coast to your fabulous office overlooking the city.
I mean, TV and movies are made there; they'd never lie about that stuff.

3. If the money is good, you can probably survive the commute. |

I live in the northwestern suburbs of Atlanta and had to travel into Atlanta when I first moved here. The money was good, but the commute was awful because travel to Atlanta on I-75 was hell. I stayed there until they laid me off.
