2. Neither. Never liked either one.
BTW, the Cheers theme was 'class song' in my senior year of HS. I didn't vote for it.

4. oh, that's a hard question...they are both excellent

I guess I'd have to say Cheers because it was funny right up until the end, where Frasier lost some of it's magic after Daphne and Niles became a couple. This was temporary - the "not as funny" period, and I've read (yeah, lotta free time at present) that some writer who'd left came back late in the series, and the show did perk back up for a while.

Really tough question though. Both excellent shows.

5. Yeah, Cheers was the only long-running comedy that maintained quality
In fact, I prefer the last few seasons. Maybe it's because Rebecca became more of a loser while Lilith became a mainstay.

6. That episode where Frasier and Lilith had that first "encounter" during their TV interview...
...to me, is "I Love Lucy"-level CLASSIC comedy.

So was the "Nanny G" episode with Emma Thompson, but ONLY that first one. When they tried to bring the character back with Laurie "Roseanne" Metcalf, it was a BIG mistake.

7. Yeah, Rebecca married a plumber
Fraiser had a bit of an epilogue to her story:

Frasier: So, uh, how's everybody at Cheers?
Sam: Oh, wow. Uh, well, let's see... you know that Rebecca finally married that plumber?
Frasier: Yes, yes... it's ironic, isn't it? You know, she spends all her energy trying to land some rich guy and she ends up with an ordinary plumber.
Sam: Well, that ordinary plumber struck gold. He's got a patent on some low-flow toilet thing. I mean, he's rich beyond her wildest dreams.
Frasier: Well, heck, I'm happy for her.
Sam: Well, don't be - he dumped her. She's back at the bar.
Frasier: Working at Cheers again?
Sam: No, she's just back at the bar.

8. I saw part of Frasier once. I absolutely can't stand the main character.
He creeps me out and I don't know why.

9. Cheers was FAR better than Frasier IMO
Cheers is up there with MASH as best TV show ever IMO.

11. I liked all the characters on Fraiser except Fraiser himeslf
I thought Kelsey Grammer was a pompous asshole in RL. But David Hyde Pierce and John Mahoney are very talented actors and made the show worth watching even when Grammer was insufferably annoying.

13. It was worth watching BECAUSE Grammer was insufferably annoying

That just made it all the sweeter when Frasier would take the inevitable pratfall (dumped for the 5,000th time, snubbed for a SeaBee award, lost Corkmaster to Niles, etc.).
